LexisNexis Rolls Out Free Access To Lexis+ AI For Law Students

A recent survey of law school librarians and legal technology professors found that 78% of law school faculty have plans to teach students about generative AI tools this spring. Help is on the way.

LexisNexis stirred some excitement on law school campuses this holiday season with the news that we will be expanding free access to our transformative legal generative AI solution this year for students at American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law schools.

“This is a big development,” said Daniel W. Lina Jr., a senior lecturer and the director of law technology initiatives at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, in an interview with ABA Journal. “Law firms are using these tools, experimenting with them for a while, and students need to start learning how to use them.”

Students who tested the product share the enthusiasm: “Amazing product. Love that it’s confidential and the drafting component of it is surprisingly very articulate and requires little editing to get to a final product,” said Andie Sims, a 2L student at Wake Forest University School of Law.
